The San Gabriel Valley Football Officials Association is saddened to share the passing of longtime member Art Uvaas on September 15, 2026, at the age of 67. Away from football, Art spent a lifetime in radio. He worked at stations including KGRB in West Covina, KKFJ in Alturas, and KPRO in Riverside. In recent years he hosted the Chasing Victory Show on KQLH 92.5 FM in Yucaipa, where he talked about local and regional sports. He also worked as a substitute teacher in the Beaumont Unified School District.
